We
have 6 garden pens to facilitate up to 19 cats if some
of them come from the same family. Our foster cats have
soft playing music, a nice cosy bed with heater pads in
there own little house with heaters tubes with plenty of
toys and scratching posts to help stimulate them whilst
in our care.
Our fosterers spend many hours with the cats and late
nights sitting with them.
One
of our fosterers does a late night visit every day about
1am in the morning, and another one of our fosterers has
been known to sit up till 3am in the morning waiting for
a mother cat to give birth to her babies!.
Part of a fosterers daily duties include Sitting with
the cats and working with the more timid/aggressive cats
so they are more home able, Endless cleaning to do,
repairs to the pens, trips to and from the vets,
purchasing all t he
cat food and cat litter, washing bedding, taking photos
of the cats for our advertising boards and the website.
Taking calls for cats waiting to come in and collecting
them, delivering humane traps/cat collars for members of
the public to help take in strays and then collecting
the strays at a later date.
Making appointments with the new owners after they have
been home checked to come and see the foster cats.
Making 2 follow up telephone calls to see how the cats
are settling in there new home and if the new owners
require any help or advice.
It’s a full time job but is all carried out for the love
of the cats. |
